Rainbow Room - Child & Family First - August 2020
Meagan DiMariano knows just how important visit rooms are to the foster care system. As a foster Mom she has done plenty of drop offs to and pick ups from visits and knows that it is important for visits to be as positive an experience as possible.
Child and Family first reached out about needing a playroom made over and Meagan jumped right in. In record time she had a grey office space made over into a colorful, joyful space filled with toys that encourage imaginative play.
Meagan says "I have had such an amazing experience working with Richie’s Wish transforming a local foster care playroom. The team is so sweet and always willing to help! It is such a great bonding experience to have family and friends help through donations or hands on work. Knowing that you created a bright, fun & engaging environment for children who have been through a lot is very fulfilling."
Megan is continuing to volunteer with us and is starting a new initiative "Backpacks for Berks" - collecting backpacks and school supplies for kids in foster care and at risk of being placed in foster care. We are so grateful to Meagan for the playroom remodel and her ongoing work with our organization.
